Day 381: Unveil Your Deep Wounds
In order for us to overcome the pain and suffering of our past, we need to come to terms with what we lived through in growing up in an alcoholic or dysfunctional family.
There are stories that we are ashamed to tell or to share with anyone. Stories of hurt, pain, fear, and embarrassment.
Yet in order for us to overcome the past, we need to find a way to embrace and then overcome the horrors of what we lived through.
Your story is unique and is a part of who you are.
The longer we resist dealing with our feelings about our past, the harder it will be to overcome our problems.
When you take the time to face what you lived through, the memories can be overwhelming.
The loss, anger, and grief can overwhelm you.
It is not helpful to compare yourself to others.
You are unique and have a journey that’s for you alone.
Take the time you need to heal so that you can reclaim your life.
You’re worth it.
