Yes, there is a lot of worry and anxiety in our world. There’s stress, problem, sickness, but there’s also hope. When we celebrate that we’re alive, the hope that we carry in our heart can be the bridge toward a better future.
To worry and hold the fear in our hearts day after day is not healthy for us. To celebrate life, we are creating an environment of strength and hope.
To hope is to be active and to set the stage for making choices that will help bridge the gap between where we are today and a better tomorrow. That’s where the present comes into play.
Yesterday when I went on my morning run, I crossed an area where I had run week after week as I was out of work and the pandemic still raged in my state. I stopped to think about the future and imagined a time when I would have a new job and would be happy.
When I went on my run yesterday, I realized that my hope had become reality. I had found a job, was happy, and I realized the importance of celebrating my life.
The suffering of the past and the struggles of the present can be a heavy weight for you to carry. I understand that and have been there. Yet in the midst of such problems, there are moments of joy and reasons to celebrate.
You are unique.
The life you have today, the joy, and the love can carry you through.
When you hold close the memories of your childhood and think of your dysfunctional upbringing, let the past go. We can’t change it. We can only allow ourselves to be mired in sadness.
Today we are alive.
Let’s celebrate our breath, our life, and the love we carry within us.
Today is a day for you.
Embrace it.
