Why are you doing this work?
Why are you reading this book?
Why have all the bad things in life happened to you?
Why? Why? Why?
The answer that comes to you in the dark of night, when you are at peace, and at rest is the answer for what you seek.
If you do the work to look in front of others, or expect to be congratulated at the end, or because you’ve been given an ultimatum to change, these are not the reasons why to change.
Growth only takes place when you are open and willing.
When we cling to the past and blame it for who we are today, we build a cage around ourselves. We might think that it’s a resplendent mansion filled with all the safety and security that we could ever want, but gilded cage is still a cage.
Take time to ask yourself “why” and to think through your answer. Live it, embrace it, and be it.
