Each year I go to my doctor for my checkup, and she tells me to make certain that I eat right and take care of myself (both physically and mentally). I like the yearly check-in with my doctor.
Day 45: Choose Good Friends
Day 44: Dealing with Misplaced Anger
We all get angry at some point or another along the line. However, I’ve found that growing up in an alcoholic and dysfunctional family creates a special relationship between how we act and anger.
If you need a refresher, first take a look at the laundry list from the Adult Children of Alcoholics website.
Day 43: See Your Flaws and Quirks from Another's Point-of-View
Day 42: The Power of Mindfulness
Day 41: Holding a Grudge
Day 40: New Year, New Attitude and New Hope
Day 39: Pushing Yourself too Hard
Day 38: An Ending Is a New Beginning
Day 37: How to Avoid Always Thinking the Worst
Day 36: Even in Darkness Persevere and Cling to Hope (The Power of Creativity)
We took our kids to see Great Gerwig’s new version of Little Women, and I had to come home to write. If you have not seen the new movie, I urge you to see it. If at the very least, be sure to watch the trailer. Gerwig’s version is unique, fresh, and gets to the heart of the story—what can a woman do to make her way in the world if she doesn’t marry?
Day 35: Seriously, Make Time to Have Fun
Day 34: The F Word: Forgiveness
Day 33: Be True to Yourself in the New Year
The new year is right around the corner. When I look back at the past and see where I have been, I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned, where I’ve been and how I’ve grown. I’ve also seen a lot of “end of the decade” articles on the web these days. We’re getting ready to move into the next decade (yes, I know that some people believe the next decade doesn’t start until 2021), and there is a lot to look forward to.
